Jane Elizabeth was born on November 21st, 1845 in NC.  Jane Elizabeth's father was William Clayton Goforth and her mother was Jane Christina Houser.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Houser and Faithy Jones. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Henry Pinkney, William Harrison Henry, David Harry, Frank, Charles Lee, Cyrus Robson Ross, Faithy Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Caroline Calline, Chastity Mary Ida and Charlotte.  She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 71 on October 31st, 1917 in SC.  She was buried in El Bethel Cemetery, Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co, NC.
