S. M. Clayton

S. M. was born in April 1888 in Person Co, NC. S. M.'s father was Williamthorp Clayton and his mother was Susan Margaret Yarbrough. His maternal grandparents were Thomas 'Tom' Yarbrough and Sarah Ann Rhew. He had four brothers and two sisters, named M. B., Henry Thomas, Reuben, John Monroe, R. F. and J. M. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
