John Monroe Clayton

John Monroe was born on September 30th, 1899 in Person Co, NC. John Monroe's father was Williamthorp Clayton and his mother was Susan Margaret Yarbrough. His maternal grandparents were Thomas 'Tom' Yarbrough and Sarah Ann Rhew. He had four brothers and two sisters, named M. B., Henry Thomas, S. M., Reuben, R. F. and J. M. He was the youngest of the seven children.
