Mellie Harvey Clayton

Mellie Harvey was born on January 14th, 1907 in Person Co, NC. Mellie Harvey's father was George Washington Clayton and his mother was Freddie Harriet Rhew. His maternal grandparents were John Ruffin Rhew Jr. and Sophronia Manolia Davis. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Perry Nichols, James Coy, Tellie Sue, Electra Sophronia, Zellie M. and Delma Rhew. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 64 on May 5th, 1971 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC. He was buried on May 6th, 1971 in Person Memorial Cemetery, Person Co, NC.
