Godfried van Cuijck

Godfried was born about 1101 in Cuijk, Noord Brabant, Netherlands.¹ Godfried's father was Hendrik van Cuijck and his mother was Countess Alveradis of Hochstaden. His paternal grandparents were Herman van Malsen and Ida de Boulogne; his maternal grandparents were Count Gerhard of Hochstaden and Aleydis von Wickrath. He had a brother and a sister, named Herman and Aleidis. He was the oldest of the three children.
