Count Albert of Mhorsberg

Albert was born in 1123 in Burgsponheim, Rheinland, Prussia.¹ Albert's father was Meinhard of Sponheim and his mother was Countess Mathilde of Mhorsberg. His paternal grandparents were Count Stefan of Sponheim and Sofie von Hamm; his maternal grandparents were Count Adalbert of Morsberg and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Gottfried, Krafto, Hiltrud and Ida. He was the youngest of the five children.
