Born on 1-4-1819, remained all his life in Lincoln. He had a smaller family that most of the Butterfields, but some of his family went to the ... and remained there until late generations have lived in several Vermont towns and have removed to Maine and other towns. Descendants still live in the Stockbridge area in several towns. Simon Butterfield also lived in many towns but returned to stockbridge where he is buried in the cemetery on the common.
