Mable Harriett 
Mable was born on May 18th, 1874.1 Mable's father was John Laidlaw Brockie and her mother was Hannah Steele. Her maternal grandparents were John Steele and Mary Ann Elmhirst. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Joseph William, Arthur James, Robert John, Fred C., Clarence Webber, Mary Emma, Isabelle Steele, Lillie Anna and Grace Hannah. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.1 -
