Joseph William Brockie 
Joseph William was born on March 16th, 1865.1 Joseph William's father was John Laidlaw Brockie and his mother was Hannah Steele. His maternal grandparents were John Steele and Mary Ann Elmhirst. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Arthur James, Robert John, Fred C., Clarence Webber, Mary Emma, Isabelle Steele, Lillie Anna, Mable and Grace Hannah. He was the oldest of the ten children.1 -
