Mary McIntire was born on December 9th, 1805 in Feeding Hills, Hampden Co. MA.1 Mary McIntire's father was Joel Dewey and her mother was Isabella Griswold. Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Dewey and Huldah Frost; her maternal grandparents were Sylvanus Griswold and Elizabeth Marvin. She had four brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joel, Sylvanus G., Henry Rice, Sylvanus Dorr, Isabel A., Harriet Rice and Eliza Marvin. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother named Melville.1 -
