Frances Isabella was born on February 3rd, 1849 in Montpelier, VT.1 Frances Isabella's father was Charles Dewey and her mother was Betsey Lund Tarbox. Her paternal grandparents were Julius Yemans Dewey and Mary Perrin; her maternal grandparents were Lund Tarbox and Susan Edson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Tarbox, George Perrin, Charles Robert, Ella Luthera, Jennie, Mary Grace, Gertrude May and Kate. She was the oldest of the nine children.1 -
