Charles Robert was born on October 27th, 1867 in Montpelier, VT.1 Charles Robert's father was Charles Dewey and his mother was Betsey Lund Tarbox. His paternal grandparents were Julius Yemans Dewey and Mary Perrin; his maternal grandparents were Lund Tarbox and Susan Edson. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William Tarbox, George Perrin, Frances Isabella, Ella Luthera, Jennie, Mary Grace, Gertrude May and Kate. He was the youngest of the nine children.1 -
