Charles Dewey 
Charles was born on July 25th, 1823.1 Charles' father was Simeon Dewey and his mother was Lydia Higgans. His paternal grandparents were Simeon Dewey and Elizabeth Turner; his maternal grandparents were William Higgans and Keziah Littlefield. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Jesse Nelson, Joseph Bradley, John R., Lucinda, Lovina Emoretta, Lydia L. and Mary J. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Lorenzo Low, Francis Asbury, Charles Henry, Simeon J., Eliza, Eliza, Statia and Sophia Statia.1 -
