Erastus Yates Barnes

Erastus Yates was born on February 21st, 1812 in ,Herkimer,NY.¹   Erastus Yates' father was Silas Barnes and his mother was Alice Bateman. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Horacio Nelson, William S, Alice and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Chauncey, Silas, Philena, Susannah and Sarah (Sally).¹
