Wilhelm ll " Der Reiche " was born in 1371. Wilhelm ll " Der Reiche "'s father was Friedrich lll "Der Strenge" Markgraf von Meissen and his mother was Katharina. His paternal grandparents were Friedrich ll "Der Ernsthafte" Markg. von Meissen and Mathilde von Bayern; his maternal grandfather was Heinrich Xll von Henneberg. He had three brothers and a sister, named Friedrich lV "Der Streitbare" Kurf., Georg, Friedrich and Katharina. He died at the age of 54 in 1425.
