Ferdinand von Hessen-Philippsthal 
Ferdinand was born in 1799. Ferdinand's father was Ernst Konstantin von Hessen-Philippsthal and his mother was Christiane von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal and Ulrike Eleonor von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld. He had four brothers named Friedrich Wilhelm, Georg Gustav, Karl and Franz Baron. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 38 in 1837.-
