Alexis von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld 
Alexis was born in 1911. Alexis' father was Chlodwig von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and his mother was Caroline von Solms-Hohensolms-Lich. His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and Juliane von Bentheim-Steinfort. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Wilhelm, Ernst Ludwig, Irene and Viktoria Caecilie. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 28 in 1939.
