Ludwig I Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt 
Ludwig I Landgraf was born in 1753. Ludwig I Landgraf's father was Ludwig lX von Hessen-Darmstadt and his mother was Karoline Palatine von Zweibruecken-Birkenfeld. His paternal grandparents were Ludwig Vlll von Hessen-Darmstadt and Charlotte von Hanau-Lichtenberg. He had a brother and five sisters, named Christian, Karoline, Frederica, Amalie, Wilhelmine and Luise. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 77 in 1830.
