Charles Wilhelm Potter 
Charles Wilhelm was born on May 31st, 1824 in Santa Cruz Island (St. Croix), West Indies.1 Charles Wilhelm's father was Arthur Potter and his mother was Margaret White. His maternal grandparents were White and Hartshorn. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Barnet Whatlington, Arthur, Frederick Carl Christian Monroe, Anne Eliza, Margaret, Mary Elizabeth "Tito", Sara Whatlington "Sal", Louisa, Alice Jane Tatum and Mary Etholinda "Ethie". He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.1 -
