Amasa was born on July 6th, 1811 in Grafton, Windham  County Massachusetts.  Amasa's father was Asa Woolson and his mother was Nancy Ann Sargent.  His maternal grandparents were Timothy Chase Sargent and Anne Nancy Horton. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Roswell, Asa, Roswell, Levi, Amos, Nancy, Fanny, Polly, Eunice, Mary, Louisa and Fanny.  He was the third youngest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 79 on January 11th, 1891 in Springfield, Windsor  County Vermont.


Amasa's first family with Mary Lancaster Davidson

‌Amasa and Mary Lancaster were married in a religious ceremony on January 15th, 1838.  They had two sons and a daughter, named George, John and Helen Ann.


Amasa's second family with Mary Eliza Baker

‌Amasa and Mary Eliza were married in a religious ceremony on July 1st, 1863 in Manchester, Bennington  County Vermont.  They had two sons named William Dickerson and Charles Amasa.
