Jonathan was born on March 7th, 1651 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts and his baptism took place there on March 7th, 1651. Jonathan's father was Robert Babcock and his mother was Joanna Phillips. His paternal grandparents were James David Babcock and Mary Babcock; his maternal grandparents were John Phillips and Joanna. He was an only child. He died at the age of 80 on January 5th, 1732 in Coventry, Tolland, Connecticut.-
