Birdena M. was born on November 13th, 1881 in Phillips, Franklin, Maine. Birdena M.'s father was Jr. Whittemore Kendall Nathaniel and her mother was Jane Wing Staples. Her paternal grandfather was Nathaniel Kendall Whittemore and her paternal grandmother is Abigail Saunders Riant. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ira P., Carl H., Blyn A., Esma M., Mary Louise and Marguerite. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 79 on October 20th, 1961 in Auburn, Androscoggin, Maine.-
