Mehitable was born on November 7th, 1759 in Spencertown, Columbia County, New York. Mehitable's father was Reuben Wetmore and her mother was Hannah Foster. Her paternal grandparents were Moses Wetmore and Margaret Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Heckaliah Foster and Hannah Markham. She was an only child. She died at the age of 76 on September 2nd, 1836 in Ostego Co., New York.-
