Solomon Welch 
Solomon was born on November 28th, 1823 in Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont. Solomon's father was Nehemiah Welch and his mother was Dolly Page. His maternal grandparents were Moses Page and Dorothy (Dolly) Bennett. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Enoch, Nehemiah, Philander Hall, Robb T. G., Dolly Annis, Louisa C., Elizabeth Ann, Elizabeth Ann and Martha Britann. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 50 on April 21st, 1874.-
