Israel Samuel was born on November 29th, 1860 in Gravity, Taylor, Iowa. Israel Samuel's father was Cyrus Griffith Straw and his mother is Sally Mae Sterns. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Straw and Mary Griffin. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, George Ore, Elvira and Ashley. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 80 on August 22nd, 1941 in Creston, Taylor, Iowa.-
