St. John Sargent 
St. John was born on March 23rd, 1884 in Hutton Twp, Coles, IL. St. John's father was John Stephen Sargent and his mother was Maria Anna Turner. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Sargent and Nancy Rose Chenoweth. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ernest, Paul Turner, Infant, Samuel Stephen, Margaret Pearl, Jessie Ruby, Ada Opal and Coral T.. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 63 on December 21st, 1947 in Hutton Twp, Coles, IL. He was buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston Twp, Coles, IL.General Notes
St. John Sargent, the eighth child, was born March 23,1884, in Hutton. St. John was the farmer of the family. He graduated from Eastern with his brother Paul in 1906, and had played on the first football team, but returned to the home farm in Hutton Township to work the soil. He was involved in Township politics and was engaged to marry Miss Chelsa Walling, who died shortly before the marriage. See sources.
