Oscar Eugene was born on October 11th, 1862 in Potton, Brome, Quebec, Canada. Oscar Eugene's father was Simon Sargent and his mother was Eunice A. Esty. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Sargent and Susan Aiken. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named James Monroe, Daniel Madison, Franklin Simon, Chauncy Norris, Ashley Elwood, Jesse Mark, Clarence G, Cora A. and Abbie E.. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 61 on December 17th, 1923.-
