Mather Peter was born on October 5th, 1864 in Fulford, PQ, Canada. Mather Peter's father is Horatio Wellington Sargent and his mother was Mary A. McCord. His paternal grandparents were Enoch Jefferson Sargent and Rebecca Bell. He has three brothers and five sisters, named Norris Inkerman, Alfred Havelock, Walker Augustus, Falora, Marcia, Winifred, Maria and Gertrude. He is the fourth youngest of the nine children.-
