Floyd Elmer was born on March 10th, 1899 in Iowa. Floyd Elmer's father was Eugene Sargent and his mother was Jessie May Huston. His paternal grandparents were Timothy Sargent and Delinda Fox. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Lester Louis, Walter Clare, Chester Brewer, Ralph E., Timothy Benjamin, Charles Franklin, Jacob Roger, Albert Ronald, Mary Ann, Hazel Blanche, Zerma Mae, Infant, Mabel B. and Charlotte B.. He is the second oldest of the fifteen children.-
