His paternal grandparents were Peris Hillard and Clarrisa Kimball. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin F., Ellsworth Ervin, William E., Wilbert Everett, Howard W., Anna Powell, Mary Alice, Ellen Jane and Florence J.. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 87 on January 27th, 1943 in Williams County, Ohio.-
