Clarissa Gruesbeck 
Clarissa was born about 1849 in Chatfield, Crawford County, Ohio. Clarissa's father was Ira Gruesbeck and her mother was Rebecca Hillard. Her maternal grandparents were Peris Hillard and Clarrisa Kimball. She has three brothers and a sister, named Phanael, Perry, Ira Daniel and Abigail. She is the youngest of the five children. She had four half-brothers named James H., Stephen Douglas, Charles and Franklin.-
