His paternal grandparents were Abner Colby and Mary Louisa Lindsay. He had five brothers and a sister, named George W., Phillip D., Archibald Burton, Grace L., Wilbur and Myrtie C.. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 45 on February 14th, 1928 in Johnville, Quebec, Canada.-
