Robert was born about 1280. Robert's father was John Stewart and his mother was Margaret De Bonkyl. His paternal grandfather was Alexander Stewart and his paternal grandmother is Jean Macrory; his maternal grandfather is Alexander De Bonkyl. He had six brothers and a sister, named Alan, James, Walter, Alexander, Hugh, John and Isabel. He had a half-sister named Margaret. He died in 1317.General Notes
