Margaret was born in 1453 in Erroll, Pert, Scotland. Margaret's father was William Hay and her mother was Beatrice Douglas. Her paternal grandfather was Gilbert Hay and her paternal grandmother is Alice Hay; her maternal grandparents were James Douglas and Beatrix Sinclair. She was an only child. She died at the age of 47 in 1500.-
