William York 
William was born about 1765 in Burke County, NC. William's father was Thomas York and his mother was Elinor Aldridge. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah York and Sarah Seymour. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, James Sr., Susanna, Letitshe, Lydithe and Elinor. He was the second youngest of the seven children.-
