Earl Roger de Clare 
Roger was born in 1116 in Tunbridge,Kent. Roger's father was Richard Fitzgilbert de Clare and his mother was Alice Adeliza Meschienes. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Fitzrichard de Clare and Adeliza Claremont; his maternal grandfather was Ranulph Meschienes. He had a sister named Adeliza. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 57 in 1173 in Oxfordshire.-
