William Stephen *Riddle

William Stephen was born in 1794 in Sandy Ridge,Stokes Co.,NC.¹   William Stephen's father was Randolph Riddle and his mother was Jemima Hawkins.  His maternal grandfather is Benjamin Hawkins. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Harmon, Benjamin, John, Alexander, Tyre, Miss, Miss, Miss, Miss, Elizabeth, Nancy and Miss.  He is the sixth youngest of the thirteen children.
