John *Riddle

John was born on March 3rd, 1787 in Stokes Co.,North Carolina.¹   John's father was Randolph Riddle and his mother was Jemima Hawkins.  His maternal grandfather is Benjamin Hawkins. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Harmon, Benjamin, William Stephen, Alexander, Tyre, Miss, Miss, Miss, Miss, Elizabeth, Nancy and Miss.  He is the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.
