Jane was born on September 3rd, 1816 in Macon,Bibb Co.,GA.1 Jane's father is John Jordan and her mother was Mary Elizabeth (Eliza?) *Pellum. Her paternal grandfather is Nathan Jordan Sr.; her maternal grandparents are Ambrose *Pellum Sr. and Lydia *Kirkland. She has four brothers and three sisters, named David Matthew, John Daniel, Ambrose Pellum, James Pinkney, Elizabeth, Missouri and Mary Ann.
