James (Jim) *Jordan

James, known as Jim, was born in 1820 in South Carolina.¹   Jim's father was Nathan Pinckney Jordan Jr. and his mother was Mary Motes.  His paternal grandfather is Nathan Jordan Sr.. He had three brothers and two sisters, named George, John, William H., Martha and Mary Ann.  He is the oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Thomas, Holly Edith, Rebecca Jane, Amanda, Mary and Louisa.
