George *Jordan

George was born in 1824 in South Carolina.¹   George's father was Nathan Pinckney Jordan Jr. and his mother was Mary Motes.  His paternal grandfather is Nathan Jordan Sr.. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jim, John, William H., Martha and Mary Ann.  He is the second oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Thomas, Holly Edith, Rebecca Jane, Amanda, Mary and Louisa.
