Cunegonde was born in 0771 in Austrasia.1 Cunegonde's father was Carolingian King of Neustria, Burgundy, and South Gaul Carloman Martel and her mother is Gerberga d'Aachen. Her paternal grandfather was Carolingian King of Franks Pepin (Le Bref (The Short)) * and her paternal grandmother is Countess de Laon Bertrada (Grand Pied (Big Foot)) * II. She had two brothers and a sister, named Pepin, Louis and Siagre. She was the youngest of the four children. Cunegonde is no longer alive.2 -
