Niels Toreson 
Niels was born on June 30th, 1838 in Haltdalen, Sor-Trondelag, Norway and his baptism took place there on July 22nd, 1838. Niels' father is Tore or Thore Bersvensen and his mother was Gollau Hansdatter. His paternal grandparents were Bersvend Jensen and Ingeborg Johansdatter; his maternal grandparents were Hans Svendsen and Barbro Oldsdatter. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Bersven, Hans, Hans, Johannes, Per, Jens, Barbro, Inbor and Anne. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 61 on January 12th, 1900 in Hendricks, Lincoln, Minnesota, USA. He was buried in Singsaas Cemetary, Hendricks, Lincoln, Minnesota, USA.-
