Thomas was born about 1268 in of Worcester, Worcestershire, England. Thomas' father was John de Cobham and his mother is Joan de Septvans. His paternal grandfather was John de Cobham and his paternal grandmother is Maud (Joane) FitzBenedict; his maternal grandfather is Robert de Septvans. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Henry, John, Roger, James, Ralph, Joan and Miss. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died on September 11th, 1327.1 General Notes
