William Gaines

William was born in 1759 in Madison, KY, USA.¹   William's father was Humphrey Gaines and his mother was Sarah Watts. He had a brother and eight sisters, named Henry, Frances Watts, Sarah, Esther, Hannah, Elizabeth Rebecca, Mary, Anne and Catherine.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named Richard H.  He died at the age of 23 in 1782 in Madison, VA, USA.¹
