MATHILDA EDITH was born in October 1079 in DUNFERMLINE, FIFE, SCOTLAND.1   MATHILDA EDITH's father was MALCOLM III CANMOR King Of Scots and her mother was MARGARET Queen Of Scots.  Her paternal grandparents were DUNCAN I 'THE GRACIOUS' King Of Scots and AETHFLAED (SYBIL) SIWARDSDOTTIR; her maternal grandparents were EDWARD 'THE OUTLAW' Prince (Atheling) Of Engl and AGATHA Von BRAUNSCHWEIG. She had six brothers and a sister, named EDWARD, EDMUND I, ETHELRED, EDGAR, ALEXANDER I 'THE FIERCE', DAVID I 'THE SAINT' and MARY.  She was the third youngest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers named DUNCAN II, MALCOLM and DONALD.  She died at the age of 38 on June 1st, 1118 in WESTMINSTER ABBEY, LONDON.  She was buried in READING ABBEY, BERKSHIRE.1 1
