Maud was born about 1239 in SURREY, ENGALND.1 Maud's father was John Fitzgeoffrey and her mother was ISABEL BIGOD. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Fitzpiers and AVELINE De CLARE; her maternal grandparents were HUGH BIGOD and Maud Marshall. She had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named WALTER, RICHARD, JOHN, MARGARET (MARGERY), MAUD (MATILDA), AVELINA, ISABEL and JOAN.
