Matilda (Maud) was born in 1094 in Tunbridge, Hampshire, England.  Matilda (Maud)'s father was Simon De St. Liz and her mother was Matilda Duchess Of Northumbria.  Her paternal grandfather is Ranulph 'The Rich' De St. Liz; her maternal grandparents were Waltheof II Earl Of Northumberland and Judith De Boulogne. She had two brothers and a sister, named Waldef, Simon and Dau Of Simon.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Malcolm, Henry, Claricia and Hodierna.  She died at the age of 69 in 1163.

‌Matilda (Maud) and Robert Fitzrichard were married in a religious ceremony in 1112.1   They had a son named Walter Fitzrobert.
