Matilde Billung of Saxony

Matilde was born about 0929 in Ardenne, FRAnce.  Matilde's father was Hermann of Saxony Billung and her mother is Hildegardis of Westerburg. She had two brothers and a sister, named Liutger, Bernard and Suanehilde.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Bernard I of Saxony and Matilda (Mathilda) of Saxony.  She died about 1008.

‌Matilde and Baldwin were married in a religious ceremony before 0941.¹   They had a son named Arnulf.

‌Matilde and Gottfried were married in a religious ceremony after 0995.¹   They had five sons and a daughter, named Aldabero, Gottfried, Gozelo, Friedrich, Hermann Hezelo and Irmengard.
