Walter's father was Richard de Burgh , Lord of Connacht and his mother is Giles de Lacy. His paternal grandfather was William de Burgh; his maternal grandparents were Walter de Lacy , Lord of Meath 2nd and Margaret de Braose. He had a sister named Margery. He died on July 28th, 1271.General Notes
